Reykjavík · Iceland
One place for all diving in Iceland — guided tours, PADI courses, gear rental, and expert regulator servicing.
Iceland is in a category of its own. Crystal-clear glacial water between two continents, volcanic lakes bubbling with geothermal gas, and the northern lights above the surface as you ascend. This is frontier diving.
Based in Reykjavík, we run daily guided tours to Iceland's most spectacular dive sites — Silfra, Davíðsgjá, Kleifarvatn, Bjarnagjá and the ocean sites of the Reykjanes Peninsula. For those who want more, we organise guided dive tours across the whole country — for groups large and small, from a single day to a full expedition. We train divers from their first Open Water course to Divemaster, rent and sell professional-grade equipment, and provide full regulator servicing — all under one roof. Our guides are certified instructors and divemasters with years of cold-water experience.

Guided tours
All tours are guided by our certified PADI divemasters. Gear included or available to hire. Year-round departures.
The only place on Earth where you can dive directly between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Glacial meltwater filters for up to 100 years through volcanic lava, reaching Silfra with over 100 metres of visibility — so pure you can drink it mid-dive.
Silfra's wilder, darker sibling. Davíðsgjá (David's Crack) is a vast fissure in Lake Þingvallavatn where the top of the crack begins 7 metres underwater. Visibility reaches 100 metres, and brown trout and Arctic char are frequent visitors. A completely different character to Silfra — more raw, more remote.
An 18-metre lava ravine on the Reykjanes Peninsula, where fresh groundwater meets ocean saltwater — bringing pink anemone, flatfish, eels and crabs into the fissure. A deliberately sunken wreck rests at the bottom. Sealed at both ends: no currents, no waves. Just 1 hour from Reykjavík.
Iceland's most otherworldly dive. Kleifarvatn sits directly on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge — volcanic gas bubbles escape from craters on the lakebed, warm geothermal plumes rise through cold water, and the black volcanic landscape above feels like standing on Mars. Only 30 minutes from Reykjavík.
Iceland's coastal waters are teeming with life — wolffish lurking in rocky crevices, vast kelp forests swaying in the current, over 40 species of algae, starfish, crabs and curious grey seals. A completely different world from the freshwater fissures. Shore and boat dive options from Reykjavík.
One of Iceland's finest ocean dive sites on the Reykjanes Peninsula. Dramatic lava formations, rich Atlantic marine life and exceptional visibility make this a favourite among experienced divers seeking something beyond the fissures...
Experience Silfra in total darkness, lit only by torchlight. The famous green and purple algae (locally called troll hair and blueberry) come alive under a focused beam. On clear nights, Iceland's sky blazes with stars — and in winter, the northern lights dance above the fissure as you surface. Maximum 4 divers.

Before you dive
Everything you need to know before booking a dive in Iceland.
Yes. All Silfra divers must hold a drysuit certification or have at least 10 logged drysuit dives within the past two years, confirmed in writing by a dive instructor. No drysuit experience? We offer a 1–2 day package combining our Drysuit Specialty course with a Silfra dive.
PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent from any recognised dive organisation (SSI, BSAC, CMAS, etc.). For Bjarnagjá and most Icelandic dive sites, a drysuit certification is also required on top of your basic Open Water cert for Silfra.
Silfra and Davíðsgjá stay at 2–4°C year-round — cold but stable. Kleifarvatn is 6–10°C. Ocean sites range from 5–12°C depending on season. All our drysuits include a full undersuit to keep you warm throughout the dive.
Yes — and we encourage it. The glacial meltwater from Langjökull glacier travels 50 km through lava rock over 30–100 years, making it some of the purest drinking water on the planet. Many divers take a sip before descending. It's a highlight of the experience.
Minimum age for diving Silfra is 18. You must be able to swim and be in good general health. Divers over 60 or with medical conditions should obtain physician approval before booking. Pregnancy excludes participation in all dive and snorkel tours.
We do not offer standard pickup for our tours. Most of our dive sites are within 30–60 minutes drive from Reykjavík. Private and bespoke tour arrangements may include pickup — contact us to discuss your needs.
Yes. All tours include drysuit, undersuit, BCD, regulator, cylinder, weights, mask, fins and gloves. You only need to bring warm thermal base layers, wool socks, and a waterproof outer layer for between dives. Equipment is professionally serviced before every rental.
Yes — mostly. Water temperatures in the freshwater sites barely change between seasons, so conditions are remarkably consistent. Winter diving offers the added bonus of the northern lights above the surface. Summer brings the midnight sun and longer days. Exceptions apply at wintertime if lakes are frozen or if weather does not allow it.
